What led you to apply to APHD at OISE?
I applied to OISE as I was interested in research on emerging adulthood conducted by Dr. Abby Goldstein, my supervisor. I was also drawn to the diverse opportunities for clinical training.

What was your past experience like?
I鈥檝e spent some time working with students in post-secondary settings, first during my undergraduate degree at McMaster University and then working in student services at Humber College. This work helped inspire my research interest in youth and emerging adult mental health.

Are there any past accomplishments that you would like to highlight?
I鈥檒l soon be completing my practicum at the OISE Psychology Clinic, where I鈥檝e worked this year. It鈥檚 a little bittersweet 鈥 I鈥檝e learned so much and experienced truly wonderful mentorship. It鈥檚 been an incredible opportunity to work with clients here.

What is one thing you like most about your experience so far at OISE?
Forming connections with others at OISE has been amazing 鈥 everyone is deeply supportive and open to sharing their knowledge and experience.

What is your favourite thing about Toronto?
Toronto has great public spaces 鈥 parks, libraries, museums. There鈥檚 always something new to explore. I used to work as a tour guide in the city and love learning about local history.

What does your 鈥渨eekend鈥 typically look like?
Reading, cooking, spending time with family. Sometimes birdwatching!

What are some of your hobbies & interests?
In the warmer months, I like cycling and exploring new trails. I spend a lot of time reading.

What is your favourite type of cuisine?
I love trying new vegetarian dishes!

Where do you see yourself after you achieve your degree from APHD?
After I graduate, I鈥檓 excited to continue onto the PhD program. I hope to further explore my research interests, work in new treatment settings, and gain experience working with different populations.
